Poppy's passion for water and swimming knows no bounds but her skin, not quite as adventurous.

She's always been a collar enthusiast, yet flat-styled collars were her nemesis: irritation, neck rubs, and frustration whether wet or dry.

We tried everything, different collars, creams, sprays, until we stumbled upon Beaded Collars and everything changed.

Now her neck stays happy, healthy, and irritation-free.

No more red patches, no more hair loss, and zero unwanted friction.

Beaded Collars let her skin breathe, stay dry, and do what she loves most without compromise.

In Memory of Poppy ❤️

Poppy passed on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at home, peacefully, with her head in my hands.

At 6 years and 7 months old, Poppy left us far too soon after a sudden decline caused by a bleeding mass in her bladder. Further examinations revealed nodules on her spleen and liver, and despite her incredible strength, her body could no longer keep up with her spirit.

To many, Poppy was a beautiful dog. To me, she was everything. She was my constant companion, my heart dog, my greatest source of comfort, and the inspiration behind POPNCO Beaded Pet Collars. Her personality, beauty, and love inspired the company from the very beginning, and her legacy will forever be woven into every collar we create.

Poppy had a way of making everyone she met feel special. She brought joy, laughter, adventure, and unconditional love into our lives every single day. Her gentle soul, expressive eyes, and unwavering loyalty made her truly one of a kind.

While the pain of losing her is immeasurable, I am grateful for every moment we shared. Poppy taught me about love, patience, resilience, and living life with enthusiasm and kindness. She leaves behind countless memories and a legacy that will continue through POPNCO and the community that has supported us throughout our journey.

Though she is no longer by my side, she will always be at the heart of POPNCO.

Run free, sweet Poppy. You were deeply loved, and you will be missed forever.

MEET LISA

Owner & Designer at POPNCO.ca

Animals have always been at the heart of my life. From the time I was little, my world was filled with a lively mix of furry, scaled, and even shelled companions.

My childhood home included two Airedale Terriers (Jordy and Rusty), a Lakeland Terrier (Murphy), a parade of Golden Retrievers (Chloe, Libby, Levi, Gracie, Lucy, and Gus), a spirited Miniature Pinscher (Keila), a bunny named Tinkerbell, two hamsters both lovingly named Roxy, countless fish, and even a crab named Sebastian.

That lifelong connection to animals naturally shaped who I am and the work I do today. Creating designs that celebrate the pets we adore feels like the most authentic extension of my heart and creativity.

These days, I share my life with Poppy, my beautiful rescue pup and the proud inspiration behind POPNCO. She’s the center of my world and a daily reminder of why I pour so much love into everything I create.

MEET POPPY

THE INSPIRATION

Poppy also known as "Pop" and "Pop Tart" or "Poop" if you ask my Dad is a rescue from "Three Little Pitties all Breed Rescue".

She came home with me in 2019 and is a unique blend of Boxer, Great Pyrenees and Pit Bull, and she has the personality to match.

Poppy absolutely loves car rides, her best Furiends Kobe (Pitbull) and Penny (Frenchie) and maybe most of all swimming.

From a young age she would jump in the bath or shower without invitation. (This girl can open doors)

If she sees a opportunity for a swim she will do whatever she can to take it. 

Poppy is a social butterfly and loves to say hi to anyone she can when we are out for a walk. She is a cuddle connoisseur and is often charming her way into some sort of cozy snuggle or cuddle puddle.

MEET HALEY

Meet Haley, the newest member of the POPNCO family.

Rescued through Barney's Furry Friends, a volunteer-run organization dedicated to helping dogs and cats from high-risk shelters and challenging situations in California and across Canada, Haley's journey is one of resilience and second chances.

Haley and her siblings were found in an abandoned, burned-down house in California before being brought into rescue. She came to me as a foster on July 25, but it quickly became clear she was meant to stay. In what felt like less than 30 seconds, I became a proud foster failure.

Now a cherished member of the POPNCO family, Haley brings endless joy, curiosity, and playful energy to each day. She loves to play, chew, explore, and remind us why every rescue story deserves a happy ending. ❤️🐾
